Trendnet TEW-691GR 450Mbps Wireless-N
The Trendnet TEW-691GR is very alike to the TEW-639GR with one major difference : it’s the first router that supports three-stream Wireless-N, with cap velocities of up to 450Mbps ; typical dual-stream Wireless-N routers have capital speeds of 300Mbps.
In examination, the TEW-691GR has. It’s the fastest 2.4 Gigahertz wireless router up to now in close-range throughput tests. In the scope trial, however, its performance is about the same as most other Wireless-N routers.
With the street range of around $180, the TEW-691GR descends a bit short of our prospects, as it doesn’t support dual-band, USB devices, or client networking.
Though we love the router’s speed, there are many other Wireless-N routers on the marketplace that proffer good performance and more lineaments for less money.
Features
Despite the tidy price, the TEW-691GR is bare-bones. It doesn’t abide dual-band, meaning it controls in only the 2.4 Gigahertz frequency band. It doesn’t support client networking, either.
The TEW-691GR’s Network user interface is responsive and works with any web browser. The user interface has a clear indicator that depicts the outgrowth of changes that are being applied to the router’s settings.
