Sony Launches Multi Touch Vaio J Series
Sony the Japanese Conglomerate has launched its Vaio J series all-in-one (AIO) PC. The big feature of the system is that has a High Definition 1080p capable 21.5 inch screen. The PC was designed as a space saver and claims it has unique ‘loop’ shape to save space under the display where users can choke up the keyboard while watching movies or listening music.
Display plus, gives punters fingertips control of the High Definition screen, and Sony claimed proprietary software on its. The PC multiple lamp technology gives the display brighter and richer output for multi-media entertainment presenting. And they say, it’s high class PC and it’s marketing this all-in-on PC as consumer technology.
The Vaio J Series spec has an Intel Core i3 processor and a Nvidia Geforce 310m GPU with GDDR RAM 512MB. It should serve well for High Definition playback but it’s not good enough for gaming. Also the PC has 4GB of RAM and a 500GB hard drive, and use Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit preloaded.
The touch software has a Media Gallery which organizes videos, photos, and music using multi-touch movements supported in Windows 7. Also Sony has bundled a You Paint touch application for children and Vaio Gate management GUI for quick access to applications. You can identify any hardware or software with Vaio Care button.
Sony has not came out with pricing information yet, but it believes the Vaio J series will be available from July 2010 from Sony Center.
