“Hurricane”, Tablet From HP With Palm’s OS
Last month there was a news that Palm was purchased by HP. And, not to long after the news, amid talk that HP had canned its Windows 7 Slate, speculation appeared regarding a HP Slate with Palm’s OS.
And recently the speculation turns into rumors as Examiner.com reports HP is planning a WebOS tablet named the Hurricane. It looks like HP is explore the “Slate” alias in favor of something more dramatic for this device. And its scheduled for a Q3 release this year.
It is still not clear if this means the Android version of HP slate has also been canned. According from the earlier reports that the Windows 7 HP Slate has been scrapped but again, there was nothing to suggest about the scrapped of the Android version of HP Slate. With this condition HP could ditch the Android version to get of fully supporting its own mobile OS.
